Power bars are not just an integral part of any sport diet, they are also a perfect snack for in between. But unfortunately most of these bars contain…

lot’s of industrial sugar and this makes the blood sugar levels increase a lot. and what does this tell us? Yes exactly! not good at all! This means for me: Do it yourself! Because this is the only way I can eat these power bars with a calm mind;-)

Peanut Power Bar

  • 100g oats *gluten free*
  • 100 g almonds
  • 250 g peanut butter *Find the recipe here*
  • 6 dates *without core*
  • 2 teaspoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder

Crush the almonds with a mortar or a blender (just make sure you don’t blend them to small) Mix the hacked almonds and the oats within a bowl. Now fill the dates into the blender and process them until you have a creamy mass. Put all the ingredients (except for the 20-30g of extra oats) into a bowl and mix and knead the mass with your hands. Brown the oats in a small pan *shake the pan once in a while to avoid that the flakes get burned* Take half of the browned oats and fill them into a baking dish, then spread the date dough on top and scatter the remaining oats over.Gently shake the baking dish for the oats to spread evenly.

Finally cut the dough into bars with the help of a pizza cutter and store them in the freezer. After a few hours you’ll have the perfect bar which will provide you with enough energy for the entire day.
