Extra Refined Chili & Lemon-Sea Salt
And here is the second part of my fantastic aromatic salt variations. Have lots of fun and success with this recipe ♥
Chili Sea Salt
Ingredients:
1 intensely hot tasting chili
80 g of grained sea salt
Preparation:
Preheat the oven up to 60 degrees (air circulation heat). Clean the chili, remove the seeds and chop it into small pieces. Now blend the chopped chili pieces with the salt and distribute the mix on a baking sheet. Let the the chili salt mix dry out within the oven until all humidity vanished. Once in a while stir everything very well. And don’t forget to leave the oven door slightly open.
Finally pulverize the spicy salt using a mortar. Finally fill the spicy salt into a mill or a glass and store it at a dry place.
Lemon Sea Salt
Ingredients:
2 unprocessed lemons
6 tablespoons of grained sea salt
Preparation:
Preheat the oven up to 70 degrees (air circulation heat). Clean the lemons under hot water, rub them dry and scratch off the zest. Mix the lemon-zest with the salt very well, distribute the mixture on a baking sheet and allow it to dry out for approx. 2-3 hours in the oven at 70 degrees. Once in a while stir a bit. Before consuming the lemon salt let it cool down completely.
Finally fill it into an airtight glass or into a vessel and store it at a dry place.
