Ice tea of barberries
I cant find the words to express how much I love ice tea and since I would never buy ice tea in a supermarket I decided to create my own recipe. And can simply say that this is the best ice tea I have ever had.
Im really happy about the outcome and I am sure you will be as well.
Ice tea of barberries
- 300 g barberries *dried*
- 1 l of still water
- 2 lemons
- 2-3 ts coconut blossom sugar
- a few branches of fresh lemon balm
Boil the barberries with a generous amount of water. Then switch off the heat and allow it to infuse for approx. 10 minutes. Now fill the berries into a sieve and shake off the remaining water.
Clean the lemon balm, shake it dry and clean the lemons under hot water. Squeeze 1 1/2 lemons and cut the remaining half into slices.
Then put the water, barberries, lemon juice, sugar and 3 branches of the lemon balm in a bottle or carafe, stir everything and allow it to infuse for approx. 1 hour.
Pour the ice tea in some glasses, add the slices of lemon, close your eyes and enjoy.
For me this is the best ice tea ever;-) Those of you who prefer the tea a bit stronger, simply allow it to infuse longer.
Greetings Micha
